Djandjo - mon époque
Alassane Kone’s solo piece ‘Djandjo-mon époque’ draws its inspiration from the interstices of everyday life. In the flow of streets crossed without exchanged glances, he observes physical presences and inner absences. Bodies move forward, avoid each other, sometimes brush against each other, but no longer really meet.
The stage then becomes a space of resonance, where gestures convey longing, searching, the echo of the other — even when they seem absent. A dance of solitudes that sometimes brush against each other, collide, unite for a moment.
Creation produced as part of Don Sen Folo’s ‘Corps pour XXIIe siècle – Acte IV’ initiation in Mali, under the direction of Lassina KONE, for the ‘Fila Ni Kélé – Bamako’ programme in October 2025.
