MAGNIFIQUES JEUNES EN TOURNÉE DANSE - BELFORT 1 # MARSEILLE 1
On the occasion of the 24/25 season at GRRRANIT – Scène nationale de Belfort, featuring MAGNIFIQUES by Michel Kelemenis for nine dancers, director Eleonora Rossi invited the choreographer to imagine a new project centered on young people and the behind-the-scenes world of artistic life. This gave birth to a bridge with KLAP Maison pour la danse in Marseille, in the form of exchanges between the two cities: middle-school students accompanying the tour and discovering the performing arts in motion and on tour.
For eight days, the artists – mentors to the young participants from the Sports Section of Collège Fraissinet in Marseille and the Dance Project of Collège Simone Signoret in Belfort – shared their knowledge, guided, and introduced them to a wide range of professions within the cultural field, from artistic creation to technical work, mediation, management, and production.
At the initiative of GRRRANIT SN, a documentary film was produced: MAGNIFIQUES JEUNES EN TOURNÉE DANSE – BELFORT 1 # MARSEILLE 1. It captures the unfolding of the project – its excitement, surprises, and encounters – and preserves the journey in memory, retracing the students’ experience, rich with human and artistic emotion and discovery.
