Frimousse Yacobi’s solo piece ‘DÉSÉQUILIBRE’ is an observation: the world is faltering. Everywhere, injustice, corruption and conflict are creating a profound imbalance, leaving humanity on the brink of collapse.
His body becomes a fragile mirror: it staggers, it breaks, it resists.
Newspapers bear witness to this disorder. They carry cries, lies and stifled truths. He hides in them, drowns in them, tears them apart to free himself. Each crumpled page becomes a voice, a weight, a fragment of truth that cannot be ignored.
Here, dancing means refusing to remain silent. It is transforming chaos into movement, pain into energy, revolt into living action.
Creation produced as part of the ‘Corps pour XXIIe siècle – Acte IV’ initiation by Don Sen Folo (Mali), under the direction of Lassina KONE for the ‘Fila Ni Kélé- Bamako’ programme in October 2025.
