Corps est graphique
A partir de la diversité de ces corps, se construit un univers graphique : courbes, fluidité, souplesse, traits qui s’étirent ou forment des arrondis, mouvements…
In “Corps est Graphique”, Mourad Merzouki chooses to examine the place of women in hip-hop dance. Aware of their near absence, he envisages their presence and examines the alternatives. Are the dancers prepared to discuss, exchange, share this dance? With a vocabulary of pure movements and a fluidity of the body, both female and male dancers bring to the fore in turn their femininity and virility. This confrontation fades gradually in favour of the artistic intent. The initial question of the rapport between men and women no longer finds a place and becomes superfluous.
