A piece for two performers.
This original work was the starting point for Alain Michard to explore all the avenues he pursued during his early years as a choreographer.
Created in collaboration with Claudia Triozzi, the duet draws on their life together and their shared perspective on the works of art that inspire them.
Almost beginners, they developed their style by exploring that of other artists, exploring it thoroughly, plundering, quoting, and recycling shamelessly.
They turned their illegitimacy into a strength, allowing themselves a sometimes impertinent view of art history, and in doing so, found their place.
