Drawing on family archives and personal anecdotes, Brussels-based choreographer Habib Ben Tanfous makes his body the epicentre of an intimate, funny and sensitive exploration of the ambivalence of inheritance.
What should we do with what we are bequeathed that does not always belong to us? What can we pass on to others? Surrounded by the music and voices that populate his past and present, Habib Ben Tanfous composes a gripping solo about the tug-of-war, the grief and the joys that come with building a life of one’s own.
