A couple is invited to dine in Lise’s villa, in an upscale suburb. As soon as they are seated in the living room, the butler and the guest recognize each other. Dinner will never take place. A scent of mystery, anguish, violence sets in. Brutal images that plunge you into the heart of a drama that we will never know if it is a lived reality, a film shoot or a nightmare. Hors-champ is a dance, theatrical and cinematographic spectacle. The choreography blends into the drama and the characters move endlessly from screen to stage. Between victim and executioner, in a noxious atmosphere that harks back to any totalitarian regime, Hors-champ unwinds its twists and turns.
