For ever Now
Creation of residents 2019
From December 2018 to June 2019, over eight weekends of work, Alban Richard invited a group of 50 residents aged 17 to 80 to participate in the creation of a choreographed piece. This journey was an opportunity for everyone to participate in the development of a joint project.
“Then there was a violent earthquake. The sun turned dark like sackcloth, and the moon turned red like blood. The stars in the sky fell to the earth like a fig tree shaken by a strong wind, whose unripe figs fall to the ground.” – Arseny Tarkovsky
For Ever Now is a plunge into the imagination, iconography, and theater of the Middle Ages: mysteries, carnivals, sot-tie, morality plays, sabbaths…
We will construct a multiple and conflictual universe where the marvelous, images of this world and the hereafter, representations of the body, and symbolic codes will confront each other.
We will construct rituals of trance and theater, stories of blood and ghosts, apparitions and disappearances.
For Ever Now should be a play full of Gothic exuberance.
