Double Vision

Year of creation
2006

Double Vision is the result of a collaboration between Carolyn Carlson and Electronic Shadow, an eclectic duo whose work straddles the boundaries between design, video, and architecture. It is a transdisciplinary encounter between three artists — choreographer Carolyn Carlson, director Yacine Aït Kaci, and architect Naziha Mestaoui — who, by literally merging space and image, offer new types of perception.

The stage becomes an extension of movement; there is only one image, the stage itself. The technology is transparent, giving way to the emotion of a shifted perception of reality. The show is an ode to the imagination, a double vision of reality.
